NEM Philippines and Malaysia provides Train-the-Trainers Workshop to Asia Pacific College

More and more institutions are starting to express their interest in blockchain, acknowledging it as an emerging technology and opting to include it in their curriculum. Last January 7-9, 2019, the teams of NEM Philippines and NEM Malaysia conducted a Train-the-Trainers Workshop in Asia Pacific College in preparation for the institution to offer blockchain technology as an elective course.

With this intent and objective, the Asia Pacific College started its preparatory measures by tapping the NEM team to conduct a workshop for its professors to equip them when they finally launch the elective course on blockchain, tentatively this year.

Ivy Fung and Alex Batongbakal, NEM Malaysia and NEM Philippines Technical Trainers, respectively, started the workshop with the fundamentals of blockchain, then gradually to its technical design. They also prepared hands-on activities that effectively made the topics more coherent. In addition, the syllabus was also presented and expounded, providing a closer look of the program and objectives of the course for the students.
